Dear Moderators,
would it be possible to get this thread:

moved back to Under The Hood?
Thanks,
Ted

HondaGal,
I originally posted it in Under The Hood, but someone moved it to the Tire Rack forum.
I wanted to get the opinions of our S2000 experts who hang out in Under The Hood, but who don't necessarily read the Tire Rack forum. I had already talked to Jim@TireRack on the phone, and he didn't have an answer for this question.
I think I could make a case for posting that particular question in:
Tire Rack
Under The Hood
Racing & Competition
and even S2000 Talk
even though, as you said, it is about tires and wheels.
There are some types of posts that probably should only be in one forum (e.g, items for sale), but it seems to me that many posts make sense in several different places. Is there some policy or guideline about what's allowed, what moderators should suggest to move, and what they should just move without asking?
Thanks,
Ted

there are no real guidlines about which threads belong where. It is common sense that we go by
We have the forums set up for specific for topics.
If you talk about HP, and turbo chargers, then it should go under under the hood, and not tire/wheel forum. and vice versa
I know there are multiple places a thread could be placed. It comes down to what makes the most sense for everyone to find the information.
Think of it as a telephone book! the most logical place to find your favorite pizza joint! Under P for pizza

Honda Gal,
I don't think I agree completely with this, at least in this case.
If I was posting information about tires and wheels, then I would agree: if someone was looking for that info, they would probably start looking there.
In this case I was asking a question, and I wanted those with technical knowledge to see and respond to my question, not just those looking to buy wheels and tires. So I posted where the mechanics and technical experts post and read: Under The Hood.
Does that make sense?
Thanks,
Ted
