I wanted to respond to the original poster, but I can't send a private message ("cooler2442 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.') perhaps because he's a new user? And I can't post a reply to his original message ("Dave J, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.")

And I don't do instagram, so I can't contact him that way.

Any suggestions?

I just posted on his thread to reach out to you. But you can click on his user name and likely navigate to his profile and send him an email.

 

Well...his profile doesn't seem to include an email address. But thanks for posting that note on his thread. Perhaps he'll get in touch.

The member you're trying to contact is new. New accounts do not have PM access until atleast having 14 days of registration. So no member would be able to contact the account via PM - unless the member is Staff and even then the account can't read the PM because they don't have PM access. I don't believe this is new. These types of restrictions are in place to help protect the community against Spammers and Scammers. The member does not have email turned on, so that method cannot be used to contact him. For privacy reasons, we also can't disclose contact information.

You could post in the member's thread and request contact information, but that's not quite advisable because it can be indexed by the Search engines (Google, Bing, etc.,). You could post a reply in the thread and inform the member of the 14 day restriction, because no one else will be able to contact him either, and perhaps suggest the member turn on the email option so that someone can contact the member via the email option built into the forums. While the member may not be able to use the email option to send out emails while under the 14 day restriction, I believe the account can receive email via the forums and so other members can email the account to get the private information exchange going.

 

You have to have a paid membership to reply to threads in want to buy since you have to be a paid member to offer items for sale in the classifieds reply to people asking to buy things is the same. So you could pay for a membership and reply in his thread or wait the 14 days for them to be able to receive a Pm.

 

He was last on here 25 May -- a week ago. Doesn't seem to be actively looking for a car here.
