I can't speak for cthree, but I seriously doubt he's going to fork up the dough for real server (approximately $20K) and the space to hold and maintain clips.
The bb codes would just designate .rm, .ram, .avi, .mpeg, .mpg, .mp3, .wav, .asf, etc files to be played properly.
