If you're using Netscape for mail too then you don't want Firefox. Firefox is a web browser only, designed for those people who don't use their browser as their E-mail client. What you probably want is the full Mozilla client, available at mozilla.org as well. Mozilla is essentially Netscape without all the extra crap that AOL adds on, but it's a lot better than Netscape. As far as it writing over your profile I doubt that it will. They'll probably work independently of each other since they'll install to different locations. However, if you can find your Netscape profile directory there should be a directory called "mail" and if you copy that directory over to your mozilla profile directory after installing Mozilla I bet it would work with Mozilla as well.
