Default What changed?

For the last few months, My home PC could not display some pics from S2ki.com hosts. Even the banner ads were not displayed. I looked at the page source code today infact trying to nail down why. As it turns out, the HTML code needed to display the banner were not even in the source.

But tonight around 10pm CST, pics started to work. What changed??

It is in the source:

<script src="/ads/index.php?section=serve&id=36&affid=1&output=js">

That javascript spits out the image. I don't know why at 10PM it started to work, maybe your cache expired.

I doubt it was just the cache. It has been this way for a long time. I have flushed the cache (and everything else) several times.

I just noted that the ad banners now display, but so do the posted pic in the threads. Many of the too did not display too. But they atleast showed up in the source html, but they were all red Xs.

It just made me wonder. I was going to troubleshoot in taody, but I got side track with life.

Did you recently disable/uninstall any software virus protection or firewall?

OK, I have been looking into this issue and I have a few other clues that might help. When I get S2ki pages servered from Gator, they work right. But Monkey and Shark don't.

It has never worked right on this PC since I got it. But it is very strange that Gator always work.

Hmm, not sure why that would be an issue. Do you have Norton Firewall by chance?

Ok, with Norton Internet Security removed, the problems looks to be fixed. Lets see if it stays fixed.

Thanks.
