I'm pretty darn sure that I had been upgraded to second gear after my 100th post. What happened, did I offend someone?

 

I think one is upgraded to 2nd after 50 posts. But anyway, I noticed that I was demoted too. My guess is that it has something to do with the new picture server that Cthree is setting up (No. of pics hosted for a particular member is directly tied to gear number). He's probably just trying to make it harder for a member to get away with uploading hundreds of pictures without being a consistant contributor.

 

It's not just you. For some reason a lot of people or everybody got down shifted. Mingster was at 6 stars and then went back down to 5. I was on 3rd, and now I'm at 2nd. Maybe whenever someone hits six, everybody downshifts one. It's weird. Perhaps one of the moderators or administrators would know.

 

Seems like C3 implemented the first S2000online.com TSB for the gear system. BTW, this thread is going over to OT.

Someone changed it? Why?

 

It was changed to reflect the number of members and the longevity of the site. Some people have been here since last October and have accumulated a fair number of posts. It was changed to reflect the activity of the site as it is today rather than back in October when there were only 200 members.
