Hahahaha... Entry fee is more than the cost of membership so I would say that wouldn't work. I like the idea though!

I think the Expo idea is great! Maybe members could get in free or at a discounted rate! The expo would give vendors a nice marketing platform, as well! I wouldn't mind getting a decal or license plate frame, either. I have noticed less sql errors lately, so that's a plus!

Mocky, make the Expo happen at Mid-Ohio. I'll be the first to sign up

Have wanted to go back there. Awesome track and it has significance to Honda operations in the Americas too.

I think for all members, the site should run without many hiccups and not setting off our virus and spam systems.

For regular paid members, no pop up adds or add scripts would be priority plus the restricted forums. Maybe a one time discount code to the S2Ki store when you renew annually.

For gold, more of a discount at the store and maybe throw in a free shirt or plate frame or something, and a higher picture storage limit.

I never understood gold, as I didn't know what was the benefit to pay more for the same forums.

There is zero benefit to Gold, it wasn't always the case, but I can't remember now.

Oh yeah, you're right. You also got a "gold" colored membership card instead of the blue one. I think more PM storage as well.

For more then double the standard membership?

Yes, but keep in mind, this is from when the site was privately owned, the money was used to keep the site running.

Which begs the question, "What is it used for now?"

But seriously, a decal suitable for placement on the wind deflector, or a key chain might be nice. Something tangible.

I'm unusual in that I didn't pay for my membership. It was gifted to me by another member. I'm thankful for that gift, but I never would have bought it for myself since I saw no value in doing so; I have no interest in the forums that only members access (politics, hotties, etc) and I don't sell stuff. The gift of my membership has now led to other things which means I'll be re-upping because it's required for those other things, but I would like something tangible for my membership.

Nominal discounts for events organized via s2ki would be nice also.

I know that functionality of existing forum features is not in the scope of this discussion, but um... before handing out extras, it sort of does make sense to have buttons do what they are supposed to do. Every button on my car works as intended. When one doesn't, I have it fixed. It would be nice if search buttons or "my content" or "participated" links actually provided the anticipated or implied results.

EDIT: Actually, membership cards with an eyelet on them so they could be easily attached to a lariot (sp?) and worn as a nametag at events would be excellent! Screen name and real name on them.
