Why censor me then?
My post for 3 new hardtops for sale has been removed twice and when I asked for an explanation I got no response. I am not a vendor, nor do I stock hardtops for resale. I am an auto broker that sells plenty of s2k's and prefer to have tops laying around for my s2k buyers. I made it clear that I get these tops at a smoking price once a blue moon, so obviously I have no reason to become a sponsor if this is the only item for sale and availability is limited at such a low price. I understand that if I where to offer this deal more than once then becoming a sponsor would make sense. I have always followed the rules here and even paid my $20 membership fee for 1 year just so I could post in the for sale section. The rules make sense but I don't see how they apply to me on my deleted post. The s2k market is slow due to the season and I simply wanted to offer board members a great deal on what I had laying around. I know when I bought my top at $3000 including hardware I would have loved an offer like mine. I was under the impression that the site was originally created to aid s2k owners with great info, special offers and latest news of our beloved cars and allow fellow s2k fans to share interests and opinions on related topics. Hopefully this post will not be deleted and someone here can explain why this happened. Thank you.
There is an assumption that the moderators should instinctively understand what you are doing, how you are doing it and why. That simply isn't true. When you post 3 brand new hardtops for sale out of the blue then you get black flagged. Is it wrong? I dunno. All I know is that your post is unusual, suspicious and unexpected and the moderators will remove it on sight.
It just happens. You get caught in the filter and strained out. The way to avoid it is to either fit through the holes or let me, an admin or the moderators know ahead of time what your deal is. That way they will go around or tell you upfront that you can't do it.
I'm not surprised you have not received a response from them given the time of year but I'm sure they will get back to you shortly to clarify the situation and get you back on track.

We have LOTS of vendors here who sell the exact same product as you and those Sponsors PAY to be on here.
Our general For Sale Forum rules state:
You may only post second-hand or used items. Items for resale or import will be promptly removed and the poster may be banned or suspended.
Unless the Admins have something else in mind you can either become a sponsor or try to sell your products elsewhere.
You can consider this thread another free advertisement......

FWIW, two different Moderators dumped all 3 of your threads, it's NOT personal.
Thanks to those who replied with some sort of explanation. I understand that the moderators can not always assume what the intentions of the post are so that is why I explained my situation and reason for the offer of the new tops.
"I am an auto broker that sells plenty of s2k's and prefer to have tops laying around for my s2k buyers."
This clearly explains why I have the tops and if my intention was to sell s2k's here I would have done that a long time ago. I don't see how being an auto broker that wants to sell left over parts is commercial. If I did not explain my line of business then I guarantee everyone would have safely assumed I was a retail shop attempting to advertise. I also stated that I do not usually get those type of deals so why become a sponsor for a one time offer? I told the moderator that clearly if I had deals like this more often and if I saw a way to profit from such a sale then I would gladly pay my fees to become a sponsor for the sight. I know it's the holidays so I do not expect to get a quick response, however, I am curious to know why they have time to remove the post and not explain when asked. This is by far one of my favorite forums to read and I have always been a s2k fan but it's hard to believe that there is no other reason but the ones given as to why this post was removed. I also had a few inquiries on my items but with the removal of the post I can safely assume that they will question my legitimacy as a member and as an individual trying to make an honest sale. As I stated before, I have sold many used items from my old s2k and never gave anyone reason to question my honesty and I do not see why certain moderators believe I am attempting to be commercial with the sale of items that I clearly stated was a one time deal. It would make perfect sense to ban me completely from the site if I attempt to sale tops or any other new items in the future. I guess that would be to much of a gamble?
Regardless of the confusion over this matter I hope everyone here had a great Christmas and got everything they asked for from Santa.
PS. Santa buys his tops from me so...JUST KIDDING
