I bought this heatshield Sunday. I texted the OP and offered $40 shipped and paypaled for it, and he agreed. Then he texted me back after I sent the payment, and said that I didnt add the fee, when I clearly offered 40 shipped and paypaled. He responded with $40 shipped and Paypaled means that I add the fee on top of the $40, and I told him that it does not. He told me that shipping was going to cost at least $20, and I told him it could be shipped for $6 through USPS. I find it very funny considering this ad clearly says $55 shipped and paypaled. Do you seriously think that someone looking at this ad is going to think that means they add the fee on top of the $55? Anyways, we got to talking about our cars, and he never said anything else about it.

I texted him this morning asking questions about his car and whatnot, and after talking for a little while I asked if he was going to be able to ship the heatshield out today(Monday). He replied with no the post office is on the same schedule he is and that he would try to get it out this week. I told him that I really needed it for this weekend as I am going to an event 3 hours away and I dont want my manifold to melt my wiring or battery, so I offered to setup the shipping with my account through USPS and get it picked up by them, and he could just give me the $6 for the shipping cost back. He said shipping will probably cost more that way, and I said shipping is $6 and the pickup is free. He said he can just refund me my money if thats what I want. I didnt want a refund I wanted the heatshield, so I declined. I offered to go out of my way to setup the shipping for him and get the shield picked up from his house, so he wouldnt even have to waste his time going to the post office, and his response was if I want to ship it "my way" I could cover the shipping cost and that would be fine. I told him I paid $40 shipped and paypaled not $40 plus shipping. His response was I only got $38(which he actually got $38.54) I'm not going to rush to the post office for a $30 part. Which again made absolutely zero sense, since I just offered to get it picked up from his house. So then he just refunds my payment, when I never said I wanted a refund. Basically he said if I didnt want to pay the extra for shipping that he was just going to refund me. After all this he calls me a lowballer and says that I was "bugging" him asking if he was going to ship it, when I literally asked one time. He never even asked me to pay the $1.46 to cover the fee(which I wouldnt have anyways) He just told me that I could cover the shipping cost, which wasnt the deal. This was all over the $1.46 Paypal fee, which he agreed to begin with would come out of his side.

You guys can draw what conclusions you will from this, I know personally that when I make a deal with someone I stick to the deal. I don't ask later on for someone to cover the shipping charge that I already agreed to pay. Especially when they are offering to handle it all and get it picked up from my house, and all I have to do is give them the shipping cost back, WHICH YOU HAD TO PAY EITHER WAY. I personally will never deal with Matt again buying or selling.
