I must be old. I miss the old classic/smooth bumpers and tail lights. Typical Honda. Three shades of grey, white, black and if you're lucky, a red and a blue.

And I'm older than you and I wouldn't drive anything with a front end that looked like that.

PS- I've seen bumper cars that look better.

I like the wheels.

The biggest issue with the Civic has been the engine with fuel dilution issues, last I heard they didn't have much luck with their intended fix for that issue and I sold my 2016 just in time.

At least it doesn't have that humongous great gaping grill opening. It appears that the pictures in the Gallery are of an SI which does have a bit more pronounced ports and scoops and other nonsense.

Oof. Its those fake grill/vents front and back. Those have to go. Maybe next gen. Why are all the current designs so weird in front? Are the stylists trying to offset the visual impact of pedestrian safety standards

But kudos to Honda for resisting the giant grill trend.

The only front end uglier is the Lexus with it's cow catcher grill.

I don't know. I have a 2017 Si which looks similar. I think it looks pretty good. I'm not crazy about the fake vents of the front and rear but they've grown on me and I don't think they're as ugly as I used to. As a matter of fact, after a while you stop seeing them. I do like the car but I wish it had the old N/A high reving engine instead of the turbocharged engine. Not because of the oil seepage but because I thing the older Si engine was more drivable. I am getting about 32 miles per gallon and that's nice.

Real world fuel economy was amazing on my 2016 Civic, the best I've ever seen in a non-hybrid vehicle.
