Absolutely, he is a disgrace to humanity and justice has been served. I served proudly and have nothing but hate towards those lying pretenders My wife had a class mate who claimed he served. We found out he didn't and have nothing to do with him.

Not sure I like the whole sigh wearing thing nearly as much as I do the requirements the two men must meet while in prison. Writing the names of every combat fatality along with obituaries of the 40 Montanans killed in combat, together with the letters of apology. Those requirements strike me as truly rehabilitative and should sensitize these fools to the import of their disrespectful fraud. The shaming thing seems more vengeful and might do more harm than good.

One of my cousins, a great gal, was married a guy (2nd marriage) for 16 years who claimed to be a veteran, and, (who had his den at home fully decked out with Vietnam memorabilia) did not find out until his death 7 years ago that he never served. When she contacted the VA for his burial flag and ceremony, they told her that he never served.

Wow! That's a rude awakening!

Quite frankly, I do NOT understand how anyone tries to "steal valor". What low life's!

I am a decorated Army veteran (Army Commendation Medal) that served during the Vietnam conflict. However, I did not serve in country (Vietnam). I will not even wear a Vietnam Veteran baseball cap as someone at the American Legion Post I go to asked me about.
