Default Stage 1 finished, askin' the real guys for help

Hi everyone,

yesterday I have finished my Stage 1 upgrades (besides many others as you see in my signature), AEM V2, Spoon header, T1R exhaust and rounded the whole performance set up by installing the T1R test pipe (sound like the sh*t I swear ) with a home made mechanic O2 simulator, since the spark plug non faulers are not available in the Middle East. We have a very specific climate here, 9-10 months out of the year it is freekin'' hot and I would like to tune my car accordingly to that. It is not my daily driver and I am auto-x-ing and tracking the car.

My questions are:

1.What will be a easy tool to fine-tune my car, since things like AEM EMS or Motec are not really having any support in this region, and talking about a s2k here is even worse.
2.Can I get a Amuse Hi Tech rom for a more aggressive timing (what is it??) and then connect a Apexi VAFC2 without resetting the settings in the Amuse ECU?
3.Is the VAFC2 better then VAFC1?
4.If I take the risk of buying the AEM EMS, do I still need to buy additional stuff like 2 years back or is it already a real "plug and play"?

Don't tell me to perform a search, I am doing this 6 days in a week 9 hours a day in my office and still gettin' paid 4 it

Looking forward to get help from some anti-bling bling heads,

let the power be with you

Good choice on the mod's for a stage 1 , any good MoTeC, HKS, APEXi tuner should be able to MAP the AEM EMS no problem but if your worried about finding one then I'd go for the Greddy e-mannage with all the extra harnesses piggy backed on to your stock ECU as the AEM "IS NOT" no matter what anyone tells you a straight forward "PLUG AND PLAY" it is a whole can of worms

I wouldn't recommend getting any JDM ecu(Amuse Hi-Tech rom in this case) unless you have access to near 100RON fuel as these are all designed to run at this level, not sure what you guys get over there!?!.

Can't comment on the Vafc's as I've never used one but I know the Greddy ain't much more money and you get much more functionality, its kind of an in between from the Vafc to the AEM.

I am runing 98 octane only every second-third day. No cheap fuel in my car
Is the e-manage easier to tune than the AEM EMS? I've saw complains about the EMS, that it is still far from beeing a true plug and play...situation still the same?

E-mannage is much easier to tune I am told by the guy who has tuned my car this is only because you dont have to create a base MAP to work from.
In reality all you are doing is adjusting the stock fuel/timing/injector curves to get a better result from your mod's

This doesn't really address the questions at hand but have you considered the Hondata intake gasket yet? I noticed you've already installed the rad cap, thermo and fan switch to help with the heat. The intake gasket is suppose to give a 5% increase in power through cooling effects.
Also consider using LE's 607 Almasol in the differential. It has been reported that the pumpkin temps drop 30 degrees with this lube.

Good idea, but you dont have to go and but a new gasket as you can just perform a fluid bypass by redirecting the hoses that connect to the plennum.

It's not the cost of the gasket thats the problem but fitting the damn thing!!! that intake was never meant to be taken off (unless you have mini-me as a mechanic) I think there is a how to on the coolant bypass.
