Default Today's the Big Game of the Year....BUT

I'm sure by now everyone has their chili on the stove, nachos, salsa, chips, dip and let's not forget the cold "adult beverages" to go with the Superbowl BUT.... what about the commercials?

The rest of the year I try to avoid watching commercials because they are a huge waste of time but if someone is going to pay $2.4 million dollars for a 30 second time slot and put their most creative minds to work coming up with an ad - I certainly WANT to see these. Remember the Bud Bowl, and the Budweiser Frogs? Pepsi, FritoLay, FedEx, etc. This is the Super Bowl of commercials as well!!! IMHO

Sorry guys - I really don't care who wins the game this year.... my team lost in the play offs - so I'll just be watching the commercials. Does anyone else find the commercials as entertaining as the game?? And sometimes more talked about at the office the next day? (except for last year when all we heard about was Janets 'clothing malfunction'.... )

I'm with you Beth. I don't really watch the game because I have zero interest in most sports but while my daughter (today she is 18!) is watching it, I might look over when the commercials are on.

I even stopped watching the commercials a few years ago. I just seemed to me that this whole thing got out of hand.

I liked the Pepsi commercial with P Diddy(?). Pepsi trucks became popular.

I watched the pre game show with my oldest son. I found it very frightening. Too much military. They didn't even refer to Clinton and Bush as past presidents but rather as past commanders in chief. Too much military.

Reminded me a little of some propaganda films I've seen from another era in another country.

It frightened me a little.

Turned off the TV following the GoDaddy.com commercial. Called FOX and e-mailed the chairman of the FCC and my pastor.

Enough is enough!!

I think the one that we can all relate to is that guy frozen in his convertible. The cop walked up to him and he was frozen solid with a huge smile on his face (the same smile we have all experienced while driving the S). The ad states "you just don't introduce a convertible this irresistible in the middle of winter".

Funny... cause I bought my S in the middle of winter but at least we have GOOD heaters!!!

And how about that Honda Truck.......The Ridgeline......

I had a good laugh about that one too. It reminded me of us. My top is down all winter.

Did anyone take advantage of the game to go tooling around on empty streets?

Despite not watching the game, I forgot until it was too late ... now the traffic has started up again. Living in Boston, I probably could have had the whole expressway system to myself!
