Default Credit Monitoring

Anyone have experience with a service?
My wife's wallet was stolen the other day and her Social Security card was in there

equifax has a service. Don't use freecreditreport.com, there is nothing free about it.

Beware of services which rope you into long term recurring subscriptions which are impossible to cancel. They are traps which promise lots and deliver nothing.

i use consumerinfo.com which uses Experian. And like C3 said, freecredit is useless and nothing free.

I have had no problems with them. I get my alerts. Actually when signing up, I got a better deal for 80/year. I almost cancelled it, and they were fine with it and retro'ed back my unused subscription. I then changed my mind and kept it. Now it's like the rest doing it monthly.
