Default Best Rewards Card for cash back?

I was thinking of getting the Costco AMEX card but I just let my membership expire (since my old card still works for gas!). I was looking at the AMEX blue cash card and it seems just as good, or even better if you charge more than $6,000 a year(5% cash back).

So is there anything out there that beats 1% cash back with no annual fee? I will just use it to auto-pay all the bills I can + gas + food and expect to get at least a couple hundred in rewards for the year...

Not really interested in airline miles.

I have a Chase Rewards card that gives me 5% on gas, grocery and drugs, 1% on everything else. There's no annual fee either.

That's much better deal. The annual fees are always the fly in the soup. I prefer points but that's just me.

If I'm a student, what do I put down for annual income?

Or maybe I should just stick with my student credit card..

I have the chase rewards also, but it is capped at 75000 points on a fiscal year.... the ****ers told me it would restart on january 1 so i have been using it with no accumulation of points (my anniversary date is sometime in May i think)....

I just applied for a Citibank something card......I have called Chase to get them to give me my missing 20,000 points.... no word yet...

I don't like cash back because it's considered taxable income. I collect AMEX points which between personal and business equates to an annual round-trip ticket to Europe every year My goal is to collect enough points that I never have to pay for airfare

I have a citibank card that gives me points that amount to 5% on gas, and a few other things and 1% on everything else. They have some kind of limit, but I'll never get close to it.

But lay off the drugs...son.

Also, Citi Dividends used to give 5% on the same, now it's 3%.
