Default POLL: How much RWP did you get on Dyno w/Stock S

just curious to see what people got on the dyno with their stock S.
seems like there is a big deviation between different S.

this car is soo well refined stock that putting mods on it may actually bring down the horsepower belive it or not. your best bet would be to drop your weight, take out your a/c (we dont need it) take out stereo, mugen exhaust (weighs 12 lbs compared to the 52lb stock and i dont think there are any hp losses nor gains) get new rims (lighter ones obviously), take out spare tire and tool kit, if u want to replace seats with sparcos, and get a c/f hood. dropping weight is like gaining hp. it makes your power to weight ratio better. plus you would get better handling.

as of now thats all i can think of but the only way to gain a good amount of hp is a vafc and a S/C or the turbo beast (which ever you prefer).

as of now i am brain storming ways to lighten my car before i look into the big gains (which is basically all we can really do) you will be surprise how much faster the car will be with the weight loss

The fact is that different dynos will measure your power differently. Your 184 rwhp might well be equivalent to someone else's 208. It also might not, but you need to get a stock baseline on a dyno before measuring modifications on the same dyno if you want to see a realistic effect of your mods.

HondaRacer,

Don't know what your talking about with the S2000 not gaining HP with mods? Stock I dynoed at 195.6 hp, and with the Spoon Exhaust, Hp rose to 203.9. Since then I have added the Spoon header, which made a world of a difference, V-AFC, which you know what it can do, and a TB/Manifold that really made the car going!

The F20C is not anywhere near to being topped out. One example is the cam design, which the duration is only a little more aggressive than the ITR Type R. Aftermarket Cams for the ITR (Skunk2, Jun, Toda, etc) make more than 30 rwhp from just cams.

People think that the F20C is tapped out because of the price for products vs. their power results. They think because they spent 1300.00 on a header, that it is going to give them 20 hp. A header is a header, and only can give so much gains. If you wanted a car for easy modding, get a Supra....
