Default Exhaust diameter

Hey guys and girls,

To add a foreword, I have an F20c fitted in my AE86 corolla. It is currently running a modified S2000 stock header with a corolla apexi n1 muffler and "something" in between.

I'm looking to get a custom exhaust fitted from header to muffler.

What specification would you recommend?

I realise this is quite an open question, but I'm gauging my options.

Please add the reasoning behind your opinions.

Regards

Ben

i run a 70mm on mine. reasoning, well, because 70 is bigger and i thought i would need the extra 1hp over 60 mm. to be honest there is not a whole lot of difference in the 60-70 mm piping. it does depend alot on the brand and how it flows! ams is the most expensive brand but has proven to give maximum gain. t1r 60 and 70mm exhaust single gives about the same hp, but different sound.

so basically, it really doesn't matter but if you want to squeeze every little drop of hp and if it really matters that much, 70mm.

Thanks for your time to reply, I think it's going to be a matter of what diameter I can fit under that car and what outcome I have from the header.

regards,

Ben
