Default lightweight exhaust not a good thing?

i have a simple question, wouldn't replacing your stock exhaust with a dramatically lighter exhaust (single tip titanium for example) significantly RAISE your vehicle's center of gravity?

it cant be a good thing, vehicle makers are pretty excessive about it (cf roofs to save a few pounds up high). woudlnt taking away weight down low make your car handle worse even though it would be ~40lbs. lighter overall?

please discuss

You would think that a 2850lb car minus 40lbs is not going to make a huge difference in center gravity?..

While it is desirable to keep the weight low and between the axles the truth is any weight loss is good weight loss. Some will argue balance and all this business but for the guys that are racing these cars they use suspension setup and parts to help correct any undesired changes feel.

I got worried that most of my weight loss was coming from over the rear axle when doing my car. I quick jaunt through the racing threads calmed me down.
