Well they are not light but I estimate a couple pounds lighter than stock. They flow a bit better than stock and sound real good. Most performance increases from exhaust systems come from weight loss so there are a few other exhaust systems that weigh a lot less. Also the RM Racing exhaust is made by B&B Performance though they do not list it on their site.

I bought their exhaust in January of 2001. At that time there were a lot fewer options available. I bought it thinking that it was lighter and produced horsepower.

A later inquirey to RM Racing about the weight got me a response from them that their system was NOT lighter than stock. I find that it is pretty and sounds nice, but drones pretty bad at about 3,000 rpm when under load.

I think that enough time has passed now that this Board is pretty well satisfied that NO dual exhaust gives you significantly more horsepower (if any at all), w/ the possible exception of the Amuse Dual R1 titanium one. As to that one I've seen no dyno results to prove it one way or the other, despite the claim of as much as 8 more hp.

as an owner of the RM exhaust.

pro: setting off car alarms in garage parking lots is cool. deep roar through the garage will set off alarms.

I have the following AEM CAI, DC SPORTS SS Header, and RM exhaust. dyno days in July I pulled 200.6rwhp & 140.6 ftlbs.(90degrees outside)

I weighed stock vs RM and there was about 10-12lbs difference in weight, dc sports header vs stock 10 lbs in weight savings and stock airbox vs aem cai 5lbs?

weight loss, zero power loss and a free flowing set up is what I would say I have with an awesome performance sound that I get tons of compliments at local clubs events such BMW and PCA events and others alike.
