intake question
i have a 2003 daily driver thats untouched so far, i come back from iraq in a week and im looking to do a couple things to the car to make it run a little better.i dont race the car or anything crazy but i wouldnt mind a little more horse power to play with. ive been looking at the password jdm carbon kevlar ram air induction kit for the past few months and im in love with it but with my mild style of driving would it be justified spending 1100 dollars on it or should i just get a snorkel and if i should get a snorkel what brand would you guys recommend i like the spoon snorkel but im not sure how much gain if any id get from that.and im also looking to get a T1R EM exhaust is this a over kill in you guys opinion for a daily driver.thanks for any input and sorry for the long post im just new at this and all of you seem really helpful on here again thank you.
The T1R EM exhaust is great. It gives great gains and isn't too loud, although loud really is subjective.
As far as an intake, they are all pretty much the same in my eyes. The only thing that separates them is price and the materials used to construct them. If you want something inexpensive that sounds great, get the K&N FIPK. If you want something a little more expensive, go for the J's Racing or PWJDM intake. PWJDM also has a setup I really like which is comprised of their Dry Carbon Intake Cover and Snorkel.
In the end, it's up to you on what you would like to spend and what suites your pallet.
