I have a 2003 S2000 with a banged up front end and need 2 headlight assemblies. I don't quite remember where I saw this but I recall people saying that the 00 and 01 years were made by Stanley and had better projectors than the 02 and 03 years, in terms of light output and color. Is this true? Trying to decide which years to get. Majestic Honda has good prices on new parts, so will probably buy it from there. Thanks.

 

im not an authority, but i think they are the same or at least very close. i would see if i could buy the lights used if possible. new assemblies are pretty pricey. or maybe consider getting some ap2s.

 

I believe its just the lens that are different between the two, IIRC the 00-01 were clear and the 02+ aren't

 

I have an 02, believe mine are clear and not a fresnel lens

Thanks all. I'll probably just get the new ones as I don't want the body shop to balk at using used parts. And I was talking about buying the assembly, not just the projectors. Buying just the projectors would be foolish in my case. I said I crashed the car.
