Default Just had some new rotors and pads installed

What would cause my Passenger side pad to wear the rotor unevenly?
Drivers side front rotor & Passenger side front rotor

Sadly I didnt do the work because I just couldnt remove one of the caliper bolts; I injured my neck exerting myself and while buying an impact wrench would have been cheaper I took it to a mechanic my family uses. I used powerslot rotors and hawk hp + pads.

Do I need to re-bleed the brakes?

Edit: its a 2008 with 58k miles.

Pad may not be in there perfectly. Although I'm not sure how you would mess that up.

Im not sure either, and while I didnt do the work myself (still kicking myself for that one) there is no telling. The place I took it to works on VW/Audi/Porsche's all day long and did great work on my mother's crappy vw "new" beetle. Sigh, I might try to take it apart or just take it back to their shop tomorrow if I have time. Of course I am working 10 hours tomorrow and Thursday..

I was thinking maybe the pins on the caliper are seized but I fail to see how that would cause this. I think the pad sitting jacked up is more realistic. Ive never had this occur on any car that I have changed brakes on and the only reason I took it was because I was completely unable to remove my calipers.

You need to reinstall the passenger outside pad at least, it's definitely not set correctly. Check the inside as well. Did he re-grease the pistons?

I just took the passenger side apart. So they didnt use any shims what so ever on the pads - not sure if the oem ones fit on these pads or not but they then put the brake anti squeel stuff between the pad and the caliper. I had to scrape it off of the piston and rubbed it gently off of the seal for the piston. I put it back together and noticed there were two small metal bumps on the pad and when the caliper was on it was just resting ON THESE BUMPS. OMFG. I swapped the pads around and viola the outside pad has no metal bumps while the inside pad has them and the piston obviously doesnt touch them. I took it for a drive and sure enough its wearing where it wasnt wearing before.

SIGH.

My advice, never take your car to some mechanic that thinks he can work on your car because he can work on other ones...just buy the right tool for the job and do it yourself.

Lesson learned. Thanks for the help though, gave me an idea of what to check and thats what it was.

What kind of pads did you buy? Ive never seen front pads with metal nubs on the back plates, just the rears that are supposed to line up with the cross pattern in the piston face...

Hawk hp +. I told the guy that installed these about what had happened and he said the metal pieces were for the shims that didnt fit so he threw them away and didnt use them. Jesus Christ. Throwing his card away and not recommending anyone to his shop ever ever ever.
