AP1 transmission:
This is my car's original MY00 transmission. It has just 56K miles, but it was tracked heavily, partially rebuilt once (under warranty), and then tracked heavily some more.
Note: The clutch slave cylinder is NOT included.
As stated, it is in working condition, but it does "run rough": the synchros are worn so it is a bit notchy in all gears, and the 5th gear synchro is actually completely dead (you must double-clutch into 5th). However, the box is still fundamentally "strong" in the sense that once the gears are engaged, they are solid and have never exhibited any issues with "popping out". There is some audible gear whine, which I assume is caused by pitting/galling of the tailshaft, which is common among well-used AP1 gearboxes. The case itself is in great shape.
Considering it's offered for free, this would be a great candidate for a rebuild or simply for use as spare parts.
AP2 differential:
This is an MY04 diff with just 16K miles. It was one of several that were salvaged by Hardtopguy in 2004 when a train derailed while delivering some new S2000s to dealers. It has the AP1 input flange from my car's original diff.
I am honestly not sure of the true condition of this diff. Again, as stated above, it is certainly still "working", but it is also definitely suspect. This was one of the first AP2-to-AP1 flange conversions, and at the time it wasn't well-understood that the flange nut had to be re-torqued very precisely. Anyway, after a dozen or so track days, the diff appeared to be causing some drivetrain vibrations. I re-torqued the flange nut and the vibrations were cured, but there were a lot of wear-particles when I changed the fluid. It's been fine on the street for several thousand miles since then, but I would avoid tracking this diff.
Bottom line: It's free and would be a candidate for a rebuild or as a spare. You might even be able to use it as a free "core" for a built diff (Puddymod or similar).
Thanks for looking!

Wow, I got a lot of responses on these haha! OK here's the deal: I've noticed people flake on pickups when things are offered for free, and since I got SO much interest (and wife REALLY wants these gone) I'm going to be ruthless with flakes. You've been warned.
Please check your PMs. I've replied to everyone who responded as of 7am today.
- First people in line MUST get the stuff TONIGHT, or else I move down the list.
- Next people in line will get ONE chance, TOMORROW night. If they can't/don't make it, I move down the list.
- I will repeat this until both diff and trans are gone.
Thanks everyone! I know this all might sound a little harsh, but I really do appreciate that you're doing me a favor. Consider this my way of giving everyone who's interested a fair chance, rather than keep them hanging around while someone else flakes.
I'll post/close this thread to confirm when the parts are gone.
