Default WTB: Carb sticker

So, this isn't for me... and it's not because I'm really trying to cheat the system.

My father is retired and purchased a Z06 for himself after he quit working. It's up for smog now, and he never realized it had an aftermarket intake. Needless to say, he failed the visual for the test. He doesn't really want to buy a $400 carb-legal intake just to pass, especially since from what I can tell, his intake IS the FIPK that's legal- the previous owner just never put the sticker on it. I know this might technically be cheating the rules, but I'd be forever grateful if someone could help him out by selling me a sticker so he can pass. Please PM me...

Thanks guys.

or just get a OEM intake and swap it out for smog, on a Z06 is literally takes less than 2 mins to swap.

they will send you one at no cost to you. just tell them that your kit was missing it when it was sent to you.

I tried calling them before and they require a proof of purchase before they send you a carb sticker. The carb #s are vehicle specific and varies by model. Get a proof of purchase first and then call them if your going this route.

I have an AEM v1 on my car. I didn't realize that the carb sticker had been removed until I was getting ready to do my smog check. I took it anyway, and it passed the visual inspection. The guy doing the inspection was pretty cool, and was more intrigued with the S2000. I don't know whether he noticed or not, but it passed.

if thats all there is on the car and he's willing to drive to LA, i can get him passed for a regular price of a smog check.

the car wouldn't be legal with a non carb approved intake..... that fails visual inspection in CALI in a heartbeat..... sad but true.
