Looks like a bonnet head to me. Those things can fight, huh?

Some days we can catch smaller ones all day off the inlet here in New Smyrna.

Doesn't look close to nine feet though. And it is a Scalloped hammerhead shark. They fight nice.

yes sir catch and release didnt want to stuff it. I mean I dont have that big of a apt to put a 9 foot shark on the wall :0)

Actually they don't stuff fish anymore. You take a picture and they make a fiberglass replica.

dont they use just the jaws and fin? thats why it was kinda pointless to kill it for stuffing who wants a replica

You can keep one shark per day that is not a problem. But nobody stuffs them any more. It's called conservation. Imagine if everyone that cacthes a big fish( shark, sailfish, marlen , tarpon, goliath grouper etc ) had it stuffed? Instead you take a good pic and they mold one in fiber glass like the ones in Flanigan's. And it will last you for ever. The same thing is done with the teeth and fin.
