Default another S2000 crashes in the rain...

A coworker of mine who has a Spa Yellow S crashed this morning... From what I know, he spun in the rain on the expressway, airbag deployed, thankfully he's ok.

Be careful out there, especially in the rain.

Ouch... well I'm glad he's okay... Is there a heck of a lot of damage?

Guess I should stop procrastinating and just get my freaking tires changed...

I don't want to assume anything but in this particular area, I would probably change my S0-2's (assuming I'd ever have 'em which I wouldn't because I don't like them) when they were 30% worn. The gap between dry and wet traction just isn't worth the tread wear remaining. Those tires are fantastic dry tires but truth be told fellas, when worn down to levels still considered quite safe for wet weather driving by most other high performance tires, the Bridgestones exasperate an already tail-happy in the wet automobile. I have driven in literal monsoons with these T1-S' and while they are only 7/10th's as good in the dry as the OEM's, they are phenominal wet weather tires that inspire confidence even in the worst of conditions. Nothing underneath your car can save one from sudden lane changes or environmental conditions that would turn around an AWD vehicle but down here where it rains so much, I'm amazed people would even consider buying another set of these SO-2's or at the very least, use them beyond their reasonable effectiveness to channel water out from under your car. If memory serves me well just about every spin out in the rain thread I can recall reading involved the OEM tires that have been worn down to unsafe levels (at least in the wet).
Be careful out there!
Just my .02 but glad nobody got hurt.

I had T1-S before with my HRE's and they were great tires. Now I'm running Yoko AVS and they are even better. About losing control in the rear due to the rain, I don't think I have a problem cause I got big steam rollers
