Any local web designers??
I've been thinking a lot about this idea I had a few years ago and would like to take some action on it. Only problem is, I need a web-designer as I am not very fluent in java or html myself. I'm going to need a very professional website made with a directory in it.
If there is anyone out there who is very good at web design and would be willing to check this idea out, PM or email me! I can pay now I guess but I would rather just share a percentage of the business in the very near future.
Thanks

My suggestion would be take 10 minutes ot learn basic HTML and put the majorty of site content together yourself, then pay to have a professional snazz it up. If you pay them to do it all, it's going to cost you. HTML is one of the easiest things to learn.
You have a PM.
One of the worse things you can do is to design/develop your own amateur website then have a professional, like myself, try to fix it up. Most of the time, it will be trashed and redone. Personally I never take clients that simply want me to fix up their mess of a website.
In the short term, you think you are saving some money by trying to do it yourself but the the long term, you will spend twice as much in money and time.

Ive received several PMs...I'm really looking for someone who wants to examine my idea and help develop the idea as more of a partner than a salary based web-designer. I assume I have the funds to develop a site (I don't know typical design pricing), but the idea wouldn't be implemented fully for a few months to maybe a year.
If no one wants to do this in a profit-sharing sense, would any of you be interested in doing it as an independent contractor?
