Well yeah like it says I need a starter I went to auto zone it was like 220 or so and I thought I would check here to see any of u guys have one or know were I can get it cheaper thanks

 

Before you jump into a starter did you check you relays and grounds?

 

Naw I'm pretty sure its the starter be cause it turns on some times it makes a wineding type of noise and the battery is good and when it does not turn on I have 2 jump it and it starts up fine......... and its only when I try 2 start the car not when I'm driving or any thing the car run normal

 

If you don't have a good ground from the engine to the chassis it will do what you are saying. Also make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight against the posts.

 

Do a voltage drop test. With a muiltmeter / volt gauge check the voltage drop when you crank the car. If it drops under 10 volts the problem is your starter. If not you have a nother problem.

 

pull it and bring it to advanced auto or autozone they will check it for free, easiest way to remove it is pull the alternator un bolt the starter and remove from the bottom
