Is it bad to keep the top down 99% of the time? Unless it's raining, the top's down and I usually leave it down when I have the car in the garage. Is there any down side to keeping it like that for extended periods of time?

Thanks!

I heard that with the plastic rear window it is not good because it makes streaks. But with the glass rear window it should be all good.

If I had a plastic window, I wouldn't even think about leaving it down. I just don't want to get any sort of permanent crease or anything wacky like that.

downside: vermin, dust, etc...
If your garage is clean, and "creature free" (though I don't know of one in FL... ) then you'd be fine... I'm a paranoid bastard though... do you leave it down when you park it somewhere aside from home???

I put mine up to keep the inside clean even though its in the garage. I have a plastic rear window, but I've left the top down for 2 weeks straight before with no creases.

Are you kidding me?! I worry about it enough as it is w/o having to think that there might be bird crap or something else in there when I return! I can't understand how people leave the top of the car down when they go somewhere where they can't see the car at all times - unless they just couldn't give two sh!ts about the car.

Cindy, I know I freak out about the car WAY too much sometimes - but Dave got me thinking the other day when he mentioned how the top is ALWAYS down. I'd rather be sure than find out the hard way and have everyone say "you didn't know you shouldn't do that?!"

Thanks for all the replies!!!
