For those that liked the veilside wing that was on my car at the super meet.
I love this style. it's the only one I have ever liked. But it's 3 months old, only been on the car two weeks and it has issues. Be careful where you buy one
First of all in the beginning I gave you a deal on the wing A Pm from you...
any chance for a previous customer break?
Yes, I gave you $50.00 off right off the back for the wing.
This is understandable.
I would consider having it painted, but if we do that you will need to give me some money back. Otherwise I will need a new one
$2.00 a Minute, thats more then most people make on their day jobs. If you cleaned the wing, shouldn't you have noticed a DIME size flaw???
I just spent an hour and 15 min cleaning it with mineral spirits.
I got it all off. Please refund me the 30.00 and we'll call it a day
It has been over 2.5 months since you have purchased the wing, and I don't know if you had it on your car, or in a box, or dropped something on it, who really knows what happened. I told you if you had brought this to my attention earlier, then I would have no problem working with you on getting this issue fixed. Its like buying a carbon fiber hood, and going through a Hail Storm, and trying to return it cause it has dents in it 2.5 months later. I dont know where its not making sense. I have no problem personally believing you, but from a business standpoint, you had the wing cleaned, and I even offered to give you a different wing, if you wanted, and you passed on that. Gave you a discount, and also gave you a partial refund. I think I was more then fair on my part.

1. There was no deal you sold them for 330.00 and sold it to me for 330.00. I remember because I could have bought the fiberglass Veilside (the real Veilside) for 369. I bought yous cause it was finished and I could put it right on the car.
2. you gave me 30.00 not 50.00. I spent 90 minutes cleaning it. for the record I bill my time at 150.00 per our. I was already in the red. But I was willing to make things agreeable to both parties. I should have sent it back instead of trying to be a nice guy and wanting to work it out
3. and most importantly. When i wrote you yesterday, you didn't even say how about sending me a picture so I can see what you are talking about. You immediately said it's been to long.
As I said in my post, It has been a long time. However I don't think that and item should begin to deteriorate in 3 months. After all it is designed to be placed on the exterior of a vehicle. For the record. the there is not a single scratch on the wing. It has been rained on twice (the car is garage kept, and sits under a cover in my garage) the flaw became apparent last Saturday when the car was outside at the meet. That's where I saw it.
As you said it was a business decision, (and a poor one at that). I know little about business. the concept is you take care of the customer, and do more business as a result of great customer service.
So far the following has occurred
1. the wind had a problem when I originally purchased it
2. you have post a refund amount almost twice what you begrudgingly gave me for my time (and I was ok with the amount at the time)
3. you have denied and servicing of the item based on a pretty short time frame
4. In my pm yesterday I gave you my phone number to discuss this, but you have chosen not to call
5. you haven't even considered that the wing that i purchased form you, (which we have agreed had an issue when I purchased it), could possibly have another issues that I simply didn't see.
6. you haven't even asked for a picture of the flaw to make an informed business decision.
7. You have every right to run your business the way you see fit. Customer service can be interpreted many ways.
I will continue to post this all over the S2kI.com site and will also link this post to the S2kca site. It's your business and you can run it the way you want. I am committed to letting you potential customers know what has transpired, and how the prodcut was backed (or not backed) by the seller.
For the record, I would have been happy to put up a post in the goodguy forum, and tell the people in this forum how well you stood behind your product had you taken care of this or at least shown an interest in getting more information before you made your decision.
