As a long time member {see my s2ki age} and a former CO and Co-Founder of the South Florida S2000 Club, I agree with many members here that this is getting totally out of hand with all the BS and the disrespecting that is going on here. Like I said before, lets enjoy ourselves, park next to each other, have a beer together and enjoy the new friends we have made cause of ONE reason, the Honda S2000.

Lets forget everything that has been said, and lets build a great/better South Florida S2000 club.

Some people just take things to heart and some dont. Some like to joke about things while others take it seriously. I do agree that the drama needs to stop. And if things need to be sorted out and things need to be said they should be said in person and not im a PM.

danny i am glad that you agree but do you remember what you had said to larry. that there is no core group & that there never was. but yet here you agree with the past core statements. just pointing it out, not tring to start anything.

warren i agree with you to a point BUT i also disagree. regardless of what you say in my eyes there is alot of seperating do to the drama. also it does not matter how many times you or someone has been to meets as long as they show face once in a while. everyone wants the drama to stop as do i. BUT you have people that do not want to go to meets to settle their differences between each other. which in my eyes is childish by all individuals.

i know that there has been attemps made to stop the childish behavior, but some will not let it go & as a normal person that is what there intitled to due to that is there opion. some comments made by a few people are all made in fun just joking due to that those people just think the whole situation is a joke to begin with. CORE or NO CORE does it even matter. just enjoy the company of others & have fun. i know every one is cappible of doing so.

Who?? I've made myself available for duscussion.. and I was summarily dismissed at more than 1 thursday meet.

You may not like to hear this.. but the Fudds meet was the meet en force... why is it necessary for the entire group to go to the NEW towers meet?? Until now...2 or 3 had issues w/ all the rest of us.... for close to 10 weeks now, there has been assualt after assualt .. w/ no response from the quiet members...

I'm not saying that the normal Fudds/Flannigans members shouldnt be going to a towers meet once in a while.. on the contrary.. I've called many a people asking them if they will go... the responses are varied.. i'm working or tired or what not...

I notice you were again absent at this past wednesdays meet... be careful about throwing stones in glass houses. Why did you not again NOT attend the wednesday meet?

With respect to a joke.. " how many people have to say.. Ok .. we are getting offended by a joke.. before a REASONABLE person will realize.. "hey.. i'm offending people" "

There comes a time my friend.. when a joke is not really a joke.. but an insult hidden within a friendly gesture... after 10 weeks of people lightly indicating they didn't like it.. to more aggressively indicating they really didn't like it.. to an almost all out war? why?? b/c someone wants to continue telling a joke...

You will have to come to realization.. though it is POSSIBLE for person A to go to a meet w/o person B... its likely that A will want B there to have fun. his or her drinking buddy so to speak.... further.. even if A goes w/o B... its likely that A will not want to hear continous unnecessary assualts on person B...

Now then.. " some denied core.. some acknowledge core ".. lets get philosophical here... language is a means of expressing an idea which one internally understands... there are only a few of us.. capable of truly expressing what it is we are thinking... in general terms... i'm a quiet person... why?? b/c I truly realize that to say what I want to say... its going to seem like an mini-series... Where am i going w/ this?? the word "core" was used.. and its meaning.. obviously not understood by a great many...

point of fact.. i got on the phone w/ various persons who 'denied' its existence.. and i explained what it meant TO ME .. I THINK they were a little shocked to hear the entire thing.. and have come to understand what it means... and why it is EVER MORE important to keep that CORE running.

IT IS ALSO INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE "BROWARD CORE" running.. you 3 are doing a FANTASTIC job of keeping up the interest to go to orlando.. I APPLAUD YOU.. and quite honestly.. might even be a little jealous.... I've attempted that before.. and have not been succesful. Please.. I implore you.. KEEP IT UP!

I reluctantly agree that he is entitled to continue his childish behaviour... however.. in that regard.. you must reluctantly agree that he will be percieved as a child.. and that will be a prison of his own creation.

At each meet on wednesday.. he has attended.. i've spoken to him.. save the last meet... to tired to be insulted yet again... to be referred to as an old fogey or what not.

An irony of ironies at that meet.. the group indicating that it wanted to be part of the 'other' group.. all arrived together.. said hello together.. and proceeded to segregate themselves from the 'other' group together... why did we not walk out into the parking lot???
a) we were eating
B) we were drinking
c) 1 or 2 tried and security told us we could not go past the barrier.

the parking lot group.. then left flannigans AS A GROUP.... being as LOUD and as DANGEROUS as they possibly could... a behavior.. in general frowned upon by the more senior s2k members.. why?? b/c in the past... we have always enjoyed a subtle cooperation w/ law enforcement... act like a set of asses and we WILL get kicked out... we WILL be unwelcome at FLANNIGANS...

Who cares what they think is probably the next argument? I do... it is their business.. their patio.. their parking lot ( or at least.. they paid for the general rights )... at that establishment.. I am their guest... and I conduct myself in a manner of a good guest. i've explained this to other members and they've come to realize that truth. i've even had other type of car clubs.. begin to use this philosophy and garner a cooperation w/ LE and decide.. wow.. its true.. its about simple respect...

Want to drive fast?? go ahead.. just PLEASE don't do it near the meet.. thats not an order.. thats a nice request.. I'm ASKING .. to decide to do it.. b/c i've asked.. is simply childish.

core or no core does it even matter? I've asked him that question for at least 8 weeks.. i'd appreciate it if you would ask him.

as you've said inyour orlando post.. come to the meet.. so everyone can get a FEEL for each other... based on the rantings here.. i would think you'd have to be BEST friends after the meet and you aren't allowed to disagree on anything.

in either case.. thank you for understanding.. and please help me to have the member that appears to be out of control for the last 10 weeks to apprach the members who have more or less be respectful for the last 10 weeks and come to an agreement.

you once said.. Larry is your friend and i stick up for him... if that is true.. then you fully understand why there are other friends in existence and why other MUST stick up for them.

as a friend.. you are honor/duty bound to defend your friend... but as a friend.. you are honor/duty bound to help him/her improve.

consider this and then ask.. when does the madness end?

 

ps.. you can ask a great many members here... i've spoken to them and asked them to be calm and try to discuss it as calmly as possible.

I've even 'chastised' those who unnecessarily perpetuate the situation..
