All right lets get down to it...

I don't watch my gauges when I race. I'm too busy on the track.

In addition, I put them where I wanted them and I like them there. I have used them windshield mounted once. The only time I refer to those is at startup.

I don't know what kind of racing you do but you're going to be slower if your wasting time looking at your gauges.

You be my guest and hang them up there on your pillar. I like mine just where they are.

Oh yea and I'm faster too.

Amen brother!...

outside of a tach, guages are only for diagnosing your car. If your worried about something blowing up during a "race" install pilot lights in your line of sight so you know when to shut it down if your oil pres goes below a critical level or your engine temps, etc...

Big guage clusters everywhere are for nothing but ricer show IMO.

Where did you get the HUD? did you install it yourself?

They're made for motorcycle racing. They're high intensity led's in a flexible frame that's programmable. They have an autodimming feature at night and are almost invisible even from the passenger seat.

I put it in a couple years ago I bought it off the bmr board. I think it's made by datatool. The installs pretty easy. From there we got the idea and added a couple of our own driven by the aem computer.

That's true but then my cars not almost is or a soon to be.

Seriously,I wish you well with your project. In your project you can put your gauges anywhere you want to as I did in mine.

I hope yours turns out as well as mine.

They look great at night.

sure, but there is nonetheless a difference inbetween advising someone, and telling them they did it wrong when you don't know their application, or how they intend on using their car...just my two cents
