Default in dire need of an alternator

hello everyone,

my alternator is overcharging the electrical system. i had a battery on the verge of explosion. i am a unemployed grad student so i really can't buy a brand new one at honda.

does anyone have one lying around, or know of anyone doing a part out, or knows of a junkyard that actually has s2000's???

please let me know, thanks.

Give Eli a call ... he said he had a couple

Otherwise just buy the voltage regulator and swap it out.

I don't think you can change that separately in an S2000....

yes, you can.

I have changed both the regulator and the rectifier.

Hell, I even have one here sitting next to me waiting for a new rear bearing

The regulator on mine is messed up and my dash is flickering, where can I buy just a regulator?

I bought it through Majestic.

I am no alternator expert, but what ended up fixing my flickering on mine was the rectifier. It takes 5 minutes to change once the alternator is out.

Do your lights dim/get brighter when you have the turn signal on? thats what was happening on mine.
