Can someone post the details of the escort out of the state? That sounds crazy. I'm sorry I missed it, but I was just there in August and plan to be back again in a few months =P (although it gets kinda cold for summer tires come December). . . its pretty though.

Ok.... so here's what happened to me....
We were on Highway 129 heading towards the Dragon. I went into a turn a little too quick and was downshifting in the turn (mistake) when the rear end just came out and we started to spin. At first it seemed like we were going to hit a couple of poles and a few mailboxes that were on the side of the road but luckily we missed those by a couple of feet. The car went off the road onto wet grass and continued to go downhill, flew over a slight hump and continued to slide sideways down the hill when I finally hit a tree stump which stopped the car. The stump hit the bottom of the driver side fender, just behind the wheel. No damage to the wheel, suspension or engine, but the frame is in pretty bad shape. The top does not align, nor does the door and window. The hood latches were bent, therefore, the hood does not close properly either.
Thankfully Max and I walked away with no injuries. My neck and knee have been hurting a little but nothing out of this world. It could have been much, much worse considering we had the top down and Max wasn't wearing his seat belt.
This is one tough little car!!!!
As I said before, the car is now with Miami Chassis, who I trust will do an incredible job. Marco at Miami Chassis told me not to worry because the car will look great when they are done. Accrording to him, it's not as bad as we think. I should have her back in about 3 1/2 weeks. Til then....I'm stuck in a Toyota Camry (yuk!!!).
All this aside, I still managed to have a good time and was glad to be able to spend a weekend with several people whom I have grown to love and admire. Thank you guys for being so great.
Glad to be back home safe.

always remember and never forget...
When the top is off...
and are riding the curves
... its very slippery when its wet...
and ya gotta be real careful of the stump banging your chasis up... cause it could really do some damager to the shape of your bodywork..
anyways.. i hear you and max had the appropriate protection.. so all is well...
