The only thing i can recommend is the Auto-cross, a few months ago they held a driving clinic where an instructor helped you out, that was great, they said they might have another one in a few months so keep an eye on that.

Not sure if they have any plans to come back down here, but Evolution Driving School did a 2-day drivers' ed event last January and it rocked!!!

Chin Motorsports also does various drivers' ed events too.

Gulf Coast Autocrossers offers a novice shool on each Saturday before their Sunday competitions. The next school/event is on the 3rd and 4th of September. It takes about 2.5 hours to get to their site near Fort Myers from Miami.

Equipe Rapide Sports Car Club offers regular competitive autocross events, and will be sponsoring one more school before the year is over (if my friends and I have our way). The events are usually in Homestead.

And also, as Kim mentioned, Chin Motorsports offers monthly high performance drivers education events at such notable nearby venues as Homestead-Miami Speedway, Sebring International Raceway (2.5 hour drive) and Moroso Motorsports Park (Palm Beach County). Even if you don't participate in the event, come to one and I'll be happy to take you around the track for a few laps. Also, you can participate in parade laps (low speed) for free.

Gulf Coast Autocrossers offers a school on Saturday, November 5.

Novice slots at the Homestead (23 Oct) and Sebring (19 Nov) events with Chin Motorsports are sold out. We're still accepting novice registrations for the 18 December Moroso Motor Speedway event. Sign up soon if you want to run there as these events always sell out well in advance.

As far as I know, there are no plans to run another Evolution School down here this winter.

Thanks. Just signed up for Moroso on the 18th. Figure I can stand to learn to drive this car correctly = max fun. Thanks for the post on Chin Motorsports - exactly what I was looking for. Now to make sure I get at least 1,000 miles on the new car before then...
