Default FFFUUUUUUUU Im an idiot

sorry for the random thread guys, but i feel like a class A dumbass/comepinga and what better place to vent than here

i was installing my berk TP today and after getting that sucker in, i proceeded to raise the jack to remove the jack stand and then began to lower the car. however, i had not removed the jack stand enough and the edge of the jack stand caught the edge of the fender and as a result of the weight of the car being on that spot, damaged the fender

pic (crappy quality since its from my iphone)

please don't hesitate to make me feel like an idiot as i know i deserve it, lol. as for fixing it, im probably going to just buy another OEM silverstone fender and swap it out. im paranoid of body shops and matching paint and swapping a fender would probably be less expensive also. with that said, anyone have a silverstone driver side fender they want to sell? lol

thanks for the recommendation. ill probably be going the already painted OEM fender replacement method assuming i can find one that matches perfectly but im still probably going to get an estimate to see what it would cost at a body shop to repair.

A stock fender from a silverstone mite be fine. I traded trunks with JDM fool and I think his car is a 06 and mine is a 00 and can't tell the difference is paint.

On a side note jack stands and a S2000 is a pain if ur useing the jack points and a jack just not alot of space so I would only use that method if your doing something serious. Invest in ramps it's alot easier to use for an oil change, plus to avoid something like this happening again.

usually you only blend the panel closest to the dent (from what i know from my experience with body shops). im not too sure, but i showed the pic to a friend who used to work at a body shop and he thinks i may be able to save the fender.
