Default First track day with the S

Just wanted to share w/ you some picks of my first track day with the S at Homestead Speedway, this past Saturday.
It was awesome; the car, as expected, performed beautifully.
I am sure most of you S owners have done this before, but if you haven't, you ought to do it; you'll understand what the hype about this car is all about.
Now that I have done it once, I am coming back for more....

Looks good. I have done a hyperdive at NJMP up north. Lot's of turns and elevation changes made it very technical and a huge rush. Is homestead an oval or do they have nice turns too?

If you liked homestead you should come to Sebring on 6/15-17 with NASA. 10x more fun then homestead and not as dangerous (t10) lol.

I'm guessing this was a chin event?

2ks2knyc: there's actually 2 lay outs for track days at homestead. One is just the infield which this looks like. The second I a roval set up that the grand-am cars run. It's uses NASCAR 3-4 instead of dropping pack in to the infied at 10. The grand am course is a blast. Scary the first session on the banking but a blast hahahaha

They use the infield road course; it has 14 turns and uses the front straight of the oval as the main (finish line straight).
It does not have a lot of elevation changes, but it is very fast with 4 straights. And the turns are fast and tricky.

That Sebring event sounds great; I do not know if I can make it this soon after this last event; $$$ issues, you know what I mean.
But definitely in the future.
Yes, that turn 10 is tricky, but I had no problems; maybe I was not pushing hard enough.
This was an HOD event.

I hear yea. It adds up quick. T10 isn't a corner to push too hard in. I know a few people who lost it there. One actually totaled their S there. If you spin just let it track to the outside. You have all the room in the world there. I think I turned in at 110 and apexed around 100 there. Felt safe at that speed. I'm sure it could be much faster but not worth the trouble.

Sebring not as dangerous as Homestead???

Yea, it's not AS dangerous, it's MORE dangerous than Homestead. Way rougher surface, faster straight speeds, faster corners, and zero run off. But still an amazingly fun track to run.

I'm planning to do my first DE at Homestead in 2 weeks with PCA/PBOC in the Cayman. Nervous and excited. Should be a blast!
