Default Flashing Lights to warn of Speed Trap - illegal?

I got a ticket yesterday for the dumbest thing ever.

$96 - for "Flashing Lights Prohibited"

WTF?

Since when is a courtesy warning to a fellow driver illegal?

I passed a speed trap (doing 5mph under speed limit btw) flashed my lights to warn peopl coming in the opposite direction, little did I know there was another speed trap 1/4 mile in front of me who saw me.

Pulled me over and gave me a ticket under Section 315.2397(7) --- which is supposd to be a law stating you can't have flashing lights on your car other than turn signals. (No strobe lights etc... )

The stupid thing was it was one UCF PD car, and one FHP. UCF PD gave me the ticket and I saw the FHP officer give the UCF PD some kinda huge book, I think they were looking up which statute to write me up on.

Do I have any kinda case here? Zero points, should I just pay the $96 and move on?

This is the kinda shit that the police get a bad rep for.

The worst most F'ed up part is that that in order to pull me over, he completely over looked two cars that were passing me and CLEARLY speeding.

WTF.

Any ideas?

I forgot where but there was an attorney that stood by the side of a street about 100 yards ahead of a speed trap with a sign warning drivers and the department couldn't do anything about it.

Just pay the ticket since there are no points, I just went last wednesday to court for 2 tickets and the judge dropped the tickets but I had to pay court fees only $275.oo yeahhh,$275.oo court fee sucks but at least no points.
