Hey I just bought an ap2 that was a salvage title It had a lien on it I just want to verify that the lien has been paid or lifted im the 3rd owner I've purchased a carfax report and on the second onwner it doesnt say anything about the lien, It only specifies the lien on the 1st owner I've checked the dmv in florida(online vehicle check) and the car supposedly has no liens is there any other way to verify this.

Salvage title yea one thing i've learned is unless you make that car world famous, that word "salvage" is gonna bite you in the ass later.

Im not really concerned about the salvage title wasnt that bad of a hit, but dont want to have any large liens on it.

I just want to know how you guys transfer ownerships when purchasing a vehicle, do you have to have the vehicle clear of any liens before you do that, whats the process? Also how can I check if the car in fact has any liens. I tried the fl dmv vehicle check program online and it says, the vehicle has no liens, is that valid.
