Show me a exotic that has 1/2 the body panels in carbon fiber and over 600 hp for 100k. Chevy has just bitch slapped the italians . germans and the japs. 
People can talk shi* about the pushrod engine but show me a powerplant that has that much power for that weight. I like to see one with the carbon body panel unpainted.

Actually, a lot of the carbon on the ZR1 is unpainted including the roof panel, roof hoop, front splitter, side rocker panels, and underside of the hood. Although I love the car, I don't love the idea that any moron with relatively small pockets and no brains can possess this much power.
I can see it now: Alex, your student is the one with the silver ZR1.. *gulp* When is our DMV system going to add a performance car license? Sigh
The car is gorgeous though, however I'm fine with the "regular" Z06 myself.

If anyone, old than Alex and myself, remembers when Porsche got the shit sued out of them after the 911 Turbo fiasco they had in the 80s then they will know GM cant sit idly buy when Mr 22 year old basketball star or 19 year old movie star buys one.
