Hi, everyone!

Sorry I haven't caught this thread earlier, but I haven't been reading the site much lately, just answering my PMs and stuff.

I'm not supposed to hold group buys myself, because I'm not a sponsor - that's why there havent been any Seat Lock Group Buys for a while. Owners can still contact me by PM or email to get some Seat Locks.

The current price for the Seat Locks is still the same as the last group buy price. I enjoy supplying the Seat Locks to S2000 owners, but it's not a profitable venture for me, so I really can't reduce the price any more.

McGard told me that the new batch of Seat Locks was supposed to ship out to me yesterday. McGard doesn't always follow through, but I will have more Seat Locks, soon.

So far, I havent found any other car that the Seat Locks will fit onto.

As far as I know, SenseiRick still sells the Seat Lock Stickers, but only to those who have purchased Seat Locks.

If you guys have any questions, feel free to PM me anytime. I'll try to catch up on the threads, too.

-Pete
Kodokan,

Thanks for the update!

Hey Pete, just out of curiosity how many different types of seat locks do you sell?
There is only one type of Seat Lock, but several different Key patterns. I always ask McGard to change the key/lock pattern with each new batch.

I do have different patterns in stock from time to time. It's unusual that so many owners from the same area all need Seat Locks, but I understand how it is there.

I've already placed the current order, but if you want to wait, I can get a few different patterns with the next order. I usually don't do that because I have to buy each pattern in bulk.

Normally, a batch of Seat Locks is sent all over the US and other countries, too - so it's never been an issue.

I do see the concern here, but think it is a little far fetched. From what I understand there hasn't been an instance where seats have been stolen form an S with seat locks. If anybody is concerned please let me know, and I can take you off the list. Remember there is no "theft proof" system, and seat locks should be one of a few theft deterrent devices you should be using.

Pete, thanks for your honesty and quick response. Just outta curiosity how much longer would it take to order different sets?

According to Kodokan he can't hold a group buy here and we have to buy directly from him so what are we accomplishing here?

Just be clear that I didn't have anything to do with starting this thread. I didn't make a thread offering anything for sale. I can answer questions and discuss the Seat Locks, though. I always try to follow the S2ki rules, so we can all get along.

In reality, this would not be an official S2ki Group Buy. It's just owners getting together to purchase something. I know you guys want a group buy with special pricing - but I can't offer that.

The rules of S2ki are there so that people don't take advantage of the website. If you guys are just trying to get Seat Locks, I hope no one will have a problem with that.

Since he can't personally advertise or hold group buys cause he's not a sponsor this thread is intended to help those who were unaware of his locks or who to contact. Just trying to help some people out in light of all the seat thefts recently. If you had more people in your area it'd make more sense to have a get together for install, beer, wings, etc. You're more than welcome to buy on your own or with us. We just figured it'd be another reason to bring some people together.
