Default HELP!

As some of you know, I was in town last week...Friday morning, while driving down Las Olas to find a restaraunt for breakfast, a delivery truck decided he wanted to be in my lane and didn't notice (or care) that I was already there...

This is the result:

As you can imagine, was was NOT a happy camper...

So, to the point of my thread - I had to leave my car down there to be fixed (they wouldn't tow it back to Atlanta)...it was taken to a shop in Hollywood called "Donnies Auto Body" - can anyone tell me about this shop?

I will take a couple of weeks to get things fixed...then I'll have to fly down to pick it up...is there anyone who might be available to help me get from the Ft Lauderdale airport to the body shop in Hollywood? Otherwise I'll have to pay for a cab to get there...

Well I would only trust my car to Sunshine Collision in Boca. Its about 20 miles from Ft. Lauderdale, but I know they do good work and they have done several S2000s...

Also, I hear Miami chasis is the shop to use...

Glad you are yourself ok.

I know of another shop in hollywood that is very good. Fabulous restorations. I live in the hollywood area, If you fly into lauderdale, I may be able top give you a ride. It will depend on the time.

I live in Hollywood, but have never heard of that body shop. That does not mean anything. When the date gets closer I can probably help you out.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to pick the body shop...my insurance company (USAA) is handling the claim, and then going after his insurance for the money (they said that commercial insurers are notoriously slow about handling things and recommended I do it this way)...so, USAA told me to take it to this shop...

I appreciate the offers to help me get to the body shop...I just got off the phone with them and they said we're looking at about three weeks...once I know a definite date I'll let you all know...I'm planning to fly in early in the morning, get to the shop when it opens (8:00) and drive straight back to Atlanta...

No...definitely not totalled...they are still working on the estimate, but it looks like $6000 - $7000 right now...no one seems to know why the airbags deployed since there is absolutely no damage to the front of the car...
