Thumbs down Help! Need a new convert. assembly cage!

I was hoping someone might have or know of someone that has a cage for the convertible top to my S2k! Mine is now bent out of shape and does not close any longer properly! Or, if anyone knows of a shop that can fix the bent or twisted bars, that would be of great help. I screwed up and now need a way to fix this mess. Now I know what happens when you forget to latch the top down and start driving off!!!

I'll get you the numbers to those shops today once I get to the office...have you tried posting on the national "want to buy forum"?

The frame for the AP1 and the AP2 are the exact same, save for the placement of straps. I saw someone who was selling a frame/top (plastic) for $450 off an AP1 in the For Sale Forum. Also, talk to Willy (cpram86), since he's parting out his S. He has an AP1 top/frame (glass) ready to go. However, depending on how bad the bend is...if it's one of the horizontal support bars, those can be bent by hand...a lot of the top can be bent by hand (I know this from removing/installing a new top on mine).

I will consider that option...give me a few weeks though..trying to see if we bend it back into shape without having to replace it!! What would you seek the cage for just in case??

What I was trying to say was "what would you SELL the cage for?"
