Default Here we go again...

All,

I woke up Saturday morning to find my antenna had been stolen. I was upset a bit but I didn't let it bug me too much.

This morning I woke up and found a note on my windshield. It read as follows:

Fellow S2000 Owner,

My car was broken into this morning/last night. I saw your antenna was stolen, just like mine was a couple days ago. The Davie PD told me this is how they are marking the cars before they break into them. Call me....

I called the number and we spoke for a few minutes. This person had an 03 Silverstone. They took his seats, steering wheel, shift knob, radio, and various engine components.

SO if you have had your antenna stolen be careful, I have already taken several measures, both proactively and reactively (in case they still try) to protect my baby (even though she is an 06 and the seats are different). It also helps that I go to the shooting range 3 times a month.

Mount your gun under the seat, pointing up and tie the trigger to the seat. When they lift up, boom....

I'd be mindful of the person you called.
is it another member?
trace the number etc.

its a little like the identit theft gang asking you to verify your ssn.

ps.

its the end of the school year... the kids got their graduation presents (cars).. expect the shopping to continue about 2 1/2 months.. thats what i normally see.

Based solely on the seat theft reported since the beginning of the year Davie and Pembroke Pines is the main area of theft. I trolled this site before joining and it seems that all the people who had their car stolen or seats stolen were in those two areas.

Regardless of where the seats are stolen it is an issue and people need to protect themselves.

If you would like Dade to be the number one county for seat theft than you are just foolish.

I hope you are just idiotic on the boards and not in person because, even though I see you have Brides, I doubt you would be laughing if it were you who was vandalized.
