Wicker Guesthouse is right across the street from my office on Duval. It's about 100ft from the Truman/Duval corner, so you're at the laid back end of Duval and not the crazy and stupidly loud end.

Chelsea House seems like a nice place, and has tons of parking, and is also about 150ft down from a laid-back Cuban restaurant tucked away off the main road (not sure of the name).

There's a ton of B&B's and Cuban restaurants, I just don't know all of each off the top of my head

Like mitch said Chelsea house is nice, it's reasonable and has a clothing optional sundeck. Some of the rooms are small however.

Le mer and Dewey House are on the opposite end of Duval St. Trendy but here's a link. la mer and dewey house. 5stars

The oldest cuban joint is pepe's great for breakfast. it's on caroline and williams. Who's got the best cuban mix is up for grabs.

The best bahama food is mr johnstons. That's in bahama town off duval before you get to Blue heaven.

There's lots more too. 7 Fishes on elizabeth st is excellent food.

Hope that helps. Almost all the b&b's have websites with video tours.

Thanks...we are going to Key West, not Miami, but I'd like to make it down to Miami again sometime soon, also. Wil - not sure of the dates yet. Probably not before the end of summer. Just too busy until then. I'll post when I know more. It would be to have a mini meet...no S, though. Flying in...

Group drive to Key West!!

Theres a small house that was converted into a restaurant in a sorta residential area, I can't think of the name now...Its excellent and very affordable, 6 of us ate for like $50.00, dessert included! Its all good.

On your way back, stop at the Tiki Bar...

edit...just noticed you are flying in..

^ Yeah, not enough time to make the big drive down there. But you can!
