Laser Eye Surgery
Hey all!
Has anybody had (or know someone who had) laser eye surgery done down here? If so, where was it done & how satisfied are you? I'm thinking of having it done, but want recommendations rather than just picking a random place.
Thanks!

I can't think of anyone who did it down here.
But in NJ, I had at least 2 friends who had the operation performed.
Initially, their results were very good, but instead of being far-sighted, they ended up being near-sighted. ( I guess over correction ).
Further, at least one is experiencing 'starburst'ing at night.
I havne't spoken to them, but they were somewhat pleased at the time. (Again, over time as the surgery stablizes.. vision changes )

My older cousin had it done about 2 years ago. Says that the only bad thing about it is that her eyes tend to dry up a lot and she usally has 2 put drops in at least once an hour. And even more in the weeks after the surgery.
I went to Brint/Daubert in West Palm Beach December 5th. I posted a summary in OT 3 or 4 weeks ago. My eyes were horrible, -3.5 perscription. I tested at 20/15 the day after the surgery, and I couldn't possibly be happier. Dr. Brint is a world-renown eye surgeon, and literally wrote the text books that Med Schools use to teach the most modern procedures.
I did have some starburst effect around lights at night, but my night vision was crisp and clear even with the extra rays around the lights. It's been exactly 1 month, and I see very little starburst now. I see better now than I did with contacts in. I couldn't be happier, and I couldn't give a more enthsiastic recommendation that Dr. Daubert (Dr. Brint mostly just teaches now).
Oh, they were recently featured on the show Extreme Makeover, they did the LVC procedure for a woman from West Palm. It's a bit of a drive from FtL, but I think worth it for eyeballs. good luck, hth.
