Till you drive it and realise that the s2000 is a way better car than that thing, I have driven a fare share at the track including the Lotus 211, And the transmissions suck, feels like your going to break it.

There not faster than an s2000 either. Yea there cool cars bout thats about where it stops.

Enjoy

I really appreciate your comment. Its great to hear the good and the bad.

Your saying that the S and the Elise perform the same? Meaning no one has an upper hand?
Looking at the pics The car looks like a beast and a blast to drive

Pretty much sums it up. Lotus picked the wrong engine/trans package, had they gone with Honda or Chevrolet it would have been a different story. Basically, if it doesn't have a blower (Exige S/ S 220/S 240/211, etc) it isn't much faster than an S2000 and exponentially more impractical.

NO BLOWER NO CARE.

I'll go one further, it's even impractical as a track car....

The fiberglass body shells explode when you hit anything so you have to replace half of the body after any contact.

You can't install a welded steel rollcage in it because it's made of aluminum.

The glue that holds the interior panels together comes apart when you use dot/non dot slick tires due to exessive play/bending.

Poor rear vision (helpful if you actually run races up front).

Not enough room for big tires under the fenders.

Expensive consumables, brakes/pads/suspension components, etc...

I could go on and on
