I am planning on moving from socal to south beach.

I kinda wanted to get a feel for how it is out their.

Can anyone tell me the pros and cons about living in south beach.

FYI: i plan on taking my S2k down with me, and i also plan on attending dade college.

Living down here is great, and most of us locals take that for granted. Your main concern if move to South Beach is where you plan on parking your car. As far as what its actually like, I cant imagine it being much different than living in SoCal. Just replace earthquakes with hurricanes and you should feel right at home. Plenty of hot girls, great restaurants, plenty of crime, awesome clubs/bars. Its a very diverse place that offers something for everyone.

Life on South Beach, hmmm... South Beach is many things to many people. To some it is their home or place of work. To others a place to party. South beach is a really nice place to live if your living in a nice appt/house. There is alot of cultural background. In a way the Beach never sleeps, its a constant party, a lot of nightlife and a lot of traffic. My boy Kiko(AP DEUCE) lives off of Colins Ave and the bay, he has a decent place for living it up single. I forgot the last time i saw his car He pretty much rides bike everywhere on South Beach

While I generally agree with most of this statement, please don't watch Miami Vice (the movie)

 

I heard that you guys got recently flooded.

My main concern is keeping my S2k dry.

 

When i said to watch the movies i ment not the actual plot but the atmosphere and the surroundings to where it takes place.

 

Oh yea, awhile back some parts of South Beach got flooded but it has to rain like crazy for that to happen. If you live in a appt. with covered parking or underground covered parking you will be fine. Do not leave you s2k in the street, i repeat DO NOT leave your s2k in the street. make sure you move into a gated/covered/garage equiped home.
