Default Need Advise Fx45????

ok, I WAS thinking of getting an EClass Merc. ( lol, the salesman thinks he has a sale too) BUT, for some dumb reason, I saw a Infinity FX45, read the specs, and sorta fell in love with it.
Now this will be Lisa's daily driver, (I'm stuck in the Expidition ) and best of all, the S2000 can stay in the garage ( except to drive to church on Sunday )

So, you auto wizards (insert Mavs name here) gimme some advise????? Is this all it's written to be? FYI, heres the info:http://www.infiniti.com/content/model/Mode...,,24508,00.html

Jeff...

Not the same price range as the E-class or the FX45, but have you seen the new Acura TL (www.vtec.net)? It looks like its going to be quite a badass machine for only $32k. Brembo brakes, 270hp, etc. Coming out in Sept. I think. My friend has driven one (works for an Acura supplier) and says its awesome.

I like the FX45. Not a big fan of the E-class. The last one along with the ML sport ute really drug down MB's quality ratings according to the stories I read in the last JD Power.

Keep in mind too that the NEW 5-series BMW should be out in Sept as well. It will probably help to drag the price down on the E-class a bit.

I test drove the FX45 and FX35 and loved them. If I didn't work where I work now, I would have one myself. In the SUV market, I think its the best bang of the buck out there, I prefer the FX over the X5 and Cayenne S personally. From the comparisons I've read, it actually outperforms both, with the exception of the Cayenne Turbo. It has a lots of power and torque, and gadgetry all over. If you're a tech freak like I am, its like being in candy store. The LCD screen is suberb. Navi system is by far the best out there. It has an 3-D view, tracking seemed to be very accurate. The screen also automatically adjusts itself to the lighting conditions, at night, it will inverse colors to make it easier to read. It also has a rear bumper cam, that automatically turns on when you put the car in reverse. Its got the intelligent key option, which you can start the car, without ever putting the car in the ignition, with full safety lockouts. It has a rear DVD screen for movies. The cruise control has sensors to detect cars in front of you, and it will automatically adjust the speed accordingly. I mean this thing has just got every gadget imaginable. Performancewise, its almost as good as driving a sports car. The handling is the best I've ever driven for a SUV. It just hugs those corners. Its a different type of car than the E-Class or 5-Series but if you're considering an SUV, look no further.

Why the Escalade? Its huge, gets crappy gas mileage, and has the nearly same interior as a Suburban, but for 20k more!

If you want an SUV get the Porsche Cayenne(sp) S, VW Tourareg(same thing as the Porsche but smaller engine, still a V8), or Infinity. The X5 is also nice but its being redesigned too.

I dig the FX45. Never driven one so I can't offer an informed opinion. My daily driver is an '03 E320.

I suggest you read some of the posts here in regards to the W211.

My car hasn't had some of the serious bad stuff but it's definitely had some of the little irritating stuff...

I think the car looks fantastic - it's a great highway cruiser as well. Just know that it may be a little "high maintenance"
