I need someone with some pull at a dealership. Im buying a replacement passanger side Fender. My dealer was asking $321, and they got it in stock. That isnt a bad price, but why be in a club if not to exploit your members connections. Hopefully one of you knows somebody. I also need the "S2000"

Also, I need recomendations on a body shop. I have one, but there family. I already once learned my lesson with that though, you cant go off on family. If there taking long, you have to just sit there. So the good price isnt worth crap.

Any recomendations would be appreciated,

Joe let me ask you, Whats the final verdict on what i should do about having it painted...

Take the new fender with the old one and have them match it?

The body shop i talked to said they would have to paint the door to match... what do ya think...get back to me.

 

It sucks that you will have to paint the door also when is ok, assuming that the door was not damaged (did not noticed last tuesday).
I tried to find out through a connection that I have but sadly he cannot do body work only mechanical. I'll try to find other ways but bullet (sorry forgot your name) offer is pretty good.

when i had my fender replaced, they had to paint the hood and door to match, and i think the bumper too, not sure. Since you also have a metallic paint job, its going to look really obvious if you only have one panel painted. Im going to ask a friend that deals in wrecked s2k's for you though.

any body shop will give you the time thing run around and all you can do is sit and wait.

Eddies Collision, a very reputable repair shop around here, said probably 2 weeks to fix my bumper, door and some A/C parts and it took them 3 months. Nothing I could do though

 

In order to match the paint perfectly they are going to have to blend the door and possibly the hood...The shop that painted keiths car does very good work, I havent been the to see the quality of the shop and spray booth, but keiths car came out great....Just remember no two paints will match perfectly(even more so with a color like silverstone), thats why its so important to blend the paint...its basically just an optical illusion so you dont notice the color variation.......I will call my connection at honda tommorow and order 1 slow fender for an 04!!!!

by the way...I need an excuse to spend some more money at sears....so let me know when your ready and ill go get a chraftsman heat gun....we can use it to sraighten out the bumper crease and maybe remove some window tape....It will also come in handy for those of us that need to roll our fenders
